IN FLOWING WHOLENESS - THE HEALING JOURNEY
DATE : Saturday 25th April 2026
TIME : 10am - 4.30pm
COST : £80
VENUE : Fanshaw Rooms, Opposite The Village Green, Brickendon Green, Hertfordshire, SG13 8PB
DETAILS :
The healing journey is often called 'the way back to wholeness'. Going back to our Great Grandmother language of Sanskrit, the state or process of healing can be translated as 'in flowing wholeness' (ref. Lucy Crisfield). In other words, to remain whole whilst moving through and adapting to what life brings. Wellbeing is not a fixed state - it is in a constant flow, a journey that is part of the challenge and call of being in a body on this Earth.
This journey has many ups and downs, twists and turns, and is often not what we expect. This is what we will be exploring on this day retreat. We will look at this challenge and share what this means. Furthermore, we will learn and experience what a great help sound healing practices can be for us on this journey.

UNFOLDING OUR SOUND-SELVES - WITH SOUND & STILLNESS - WEEKEND RETREAT
DATE : Friday 29th May 2026 - Sunday 31st May 2026
TIME : 3pm - 2pm
COST : £429 (non residential places also available)
VENUE : Claridge House, Dormans Road, Lingfield, Surrey, RH7 6QH
DETAILS :
We are like an ocean. In our modern busy lives, we can become entirely consumed with the waves of activity on the surface. If we are able to stop and become still, we may become aware of the depth that lies beneath. This isn't always comfortable for us, so we keep ourselves busy. Sound offers us a safe way to bridge the difficult transition to stillness and to the Self. And to feel and deal with the things that may arise within us when we allow ourselves to be still. Sound healing practices can aid us in feeling, expressing and healing the things that we carry and that create deep currents of discomfort within us.
Sound vibrates the body, moves the emotions, inspires the mind and touches the spirit. It is deeply affecting, meditative and transformative. It can support our physical healing and health, and can clear and balance our energetic system.
Join me for a weekend of gentle yet moving sound practices for your body, mind, energy and soul.
Programme will include:
Vocal Tai Chi
This wonderful practice is a way of working with the self through the relationship to one's own voice. Our voice contains everything we are: our identity, origin, our mental, emotional and physical states, and even our ancestry. Connecting with the flow of energy in breath and body, I will guide you through ways to engage and open your voice. From grounded, centred presence, you will initiate an ever deepening exploration of yourself within your sound. Vocal Tai Chi is a highly intuitive embodied practice, welcoming all sounds as valuable parts of us to be witnessed and honoured. It truly is liberating and can open us up to new levels of truth, expression, release, healing and integration.

Claridge House - A Place of Renewal
Built in the mid-19th century, Claridge House was acquired in 1954 by the Friends Fellowship of Healing, a Quaker body, for Friends to come and convalesce and gain spiritual renewal and healing. Later courses and retreats were added and the house became an independent charity. Throughout the past 70 years it has continued its original purpose of providing a sanctuary for guests seeking rest and renewal.
At the heart of our ethos lies a commitment to the timeless values of peace, simplicity, equality and truth. These Quaker values shape Claridge House, creating a sanctuary where everyone is welcome.
At Claridge House, our mission is simple yet profound: to cultivate a community where rest and renewal are accessible to all. Our commitment extends beyond providing a place of respite; we strive to foster an atmosphere of peace, safety, and connection, ensuring that every guest feels valued and supported on their journey to well-being.
So whether you seek solace, healing, connection, or personal transformation, we invite you to step through our doors and experience the transformative power of Claridge House. Your journey to holistic well-being begins here, where everyone is truly welcome.

MUSIC AS MEDICINE | EXPLORING THE THERAPEUTIC AND HEALING POWER OF SOUND & MUSIC
DATE : Sunday 27th September 2026
TIME : 10am - 5pm
COST : £80
VENUE : The Sand & Sound Centre, Digital House, 35 Ridling Ln, Hyde, Greater Manchester, SK14 1NP
DETAILS :
I learned to play guitar at the age of 14. Music became my therapy, allowing me to be with and process difficult feelings and experiences as I was maturing. Music was also a great source of inspiration, acting as a catalyst and guide to my spiritual growth. It particularly resonated with deep existential feelings, as if it held the keys to some mystical truth. I still feel this today, when I listen to, teach, or play music. For me, it touches the core of what it is to be human, whilst simultaneously vibrating on a level that is truly cosmic! In this way it does one of the greatest things that we are here to do - to unite Earth and stars within our own embodiment!
In this workshop, we will look at some elements of music that have this therapeutic and transformational potential. Drawing from musical examples as well wisdom from and sound healing luminaries, we will explore this subject with plenty of experiential and interactive examples, so you can feel into it all yourself.
You don't need to have any musical experience to join this retreat. All practices will be accessible to everyone. You will have the opportunity just to listen, or to have a go, as you prefer. The day will be useful for expanding your appreciation and access to music's therapeutic potential in your daily life. It will also be useful if you are a practitioner and would like to take a deeper dive into some core elements of music and sound.
Musical and Sonic elements we will explore:
Frequency and Pitch - Healing frequencies and Sound Coherence
Pulse and Rhythm - Moving the body and entrainment
Modes and Scales - The Voice of Soul
Harmony - Moving emotion
