Sound Healing with the Voice (CoSH)® Practitioner Training Diploma Course © will be taught over 15 months in 5 weekend modules.  Each weekend will run at the following times: Sat: 10am - 5pm;  Sun: 10am - 4pm.

Gently discover the healing power of your voice and it's connection with all that is as you learn to use it for the benefit of self and others in this comprehensive sound healing practitioner course. The core curriculum primarily focuses on our oldest and most accessible instrument, the voice, and introduces tuning forks; while also equipping participants with the professional knowledge they need to be able to fully understand and explain what sound healing is, how it works, and what makes it such an effective therapy.  Further instruments can be explored during the two additional workshops that also need to be undertaken to qualify for this course.

WHERE: All modules will be held at the fabulous new Harmony Hub in Chorley, Lancashire. The venue is fully accessible by coach and rail with free weekend parking just around the corner on Queen’s Road.  The training is non-residential.  Local accommodation options can be provided on request.

COST: In keeping with the CoSH pricing structure for this diploma, the cost for each weekend workshop will be £220 (5 x £220) due latest eight weeks before each weekend.  An £80 deposit will secure your place.  Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a pillow, blanket, notepad and pen.  Drinks and light snacks will be provided.

WHAT TO EXPECT: It is helpful if participants have had some experience of healing and/or voice work but musicianship is not required.  The course has been described by past students as a personally transformative, often profound, learning experience. It is the longest established professional sound healing course in the UK.

As this is a professional diploma course it will be necessary to successfully complete all weekends, case studies, written work and your choice of additional workshop(s) in order to receive your certificate. It is a further requirement that students wishing to attain their diploma hold a valid first aid certificate on graduation (advice on relevant courses available).

Part One provides: An introduction to sound healing; sound healing demonstrations; various tools to help us connect with our voice; and immersive first hand experience of the healing power of harmonics.

At Part Two you will need to join the College of Sound Healing as a student member to become insured to work on others and to conduct your case studies.  It is also at this point that you will be required to purchase two tuning forks (details will be provided) and download course CD's.  A copy of Sound Healing Practice by Simon Heather will also be shared and is included in the cost.

From Parts Two to Four the focus is on developing core knowledge and skills as we explore topics such as humming, toning, chanting, movement, breath, harmonics, entrainment, musical intervals, silence, the Indian scale, sacred Bija mantras and a variety of relevant sound healing treatments.

At Part Five, advanced techniques such as working with percussive sounds, using sound for pain release, introducing sound and colour etc. are also covered during this final weekend dedicated to graduation and beyond.
