Andy's journey with the power of sound, vibration and movement began in 1998 when he started regularly attending 5 Rhythms free-movement dance workshops. This exploration of drumming World-rhythms, exploring intuitive heart connection and of allowing the body to express itself more naturally, led to an introduction to 'Sound Healing with the Voice' with CoSH. Andy then completed Gong Practitioner training with Sheila Whittaker, and has been working with both the performance and healing aspects of gongs since 2012.

A hobby drummer since childhood, Andy was excited to experience the healing power of the drum, by using simple, repetitive rhythms when studying the Sacred Drumming course with Mike Barron. This seemed a natural and exciting progression - to encourage a deeper connection with Spirit and our inner knowing and wisdom. He has been running Medicine Wheel-based drumming workshops since 2019.

In 2025, Andy qualified as a 'Sound Healing with the Drum' Tutor for CoSH, and is excited to now be facilitating this course for a new cohort of students. The journey continues...

Based near Hay on Wye in Powys, Andy facilitates regular group Gongbaths and Shamanic Drumming circles and workshops. Many of the themes and focus for his work come from his connection to the wild, empty landscapes of the local area.
