The Body Tuners consist of two tuning forks, the C and the G, they create a ratio of 3/2. Body Tuners are a special interval known in music as a perfect fifth. Lao Tzu referred to this interval as the sound of universal harmony between the forces of Yin and Yang. In India, the fifth is believed to create a sound through which Shiva calls Shakti to the dance of life. Apollo, the Greek Sun God of Music and Healing plucked the fifth on his sacred lyre to call dolphin messengers to Delphi. These are some of the reasons it has been called "perfect".

Instructions:

There are two ways to sound your tuning forks. The first way is to gently hold them by the stems and firmly tap the end of the tuning fork on your knees. This will create a pure tone and is excellent for deep listening. Bring the two-prong part of the forks about an inch away from each ear and listen to the quality of tone.

The second way is to hold the tuning forks by the stems and tap them together two times to create an audible sound with overtones. This sound is good for moving around the body in the energy field.

You can adjust the volume by the strength of your tap. Experiment with getting different sounds. When you move the tuning forks quickly they will create a beautiful ringing overtone.

Remember that the tuning forks are musical instruments that need your expression and creativity to be empowered.

I take great care in sourcing and choosing instruments of the highest calibre, suitable for sound healing work.   Each singing bowl is sourced on my travels of Northern India, going through many to find authentic bowls which sound and play well. They are carefully cleaned to enable the pure metal to ring clearer without destroying the lovely patina.

I employ a wood turner in the UK to make beautiful wands out of reclaimed indigenous woods. These are designed for ease of playing and producing bringing out the low and high harmonics.

Prices of bowls start from £45 with wand. Hand turned wands are priced individually.

The Shruti box is a small portable drone instrument and a fine companion to the voice. I have worked with the maker in India to produce an acoustic instrument which is well made, easy to play and has a sweet tone, rich in harmonics.

The model 'A' Shruti Box costs £145 plus P+P (£15 UK mainland). It comes with a simple bag and instructions.

My Tingshas are made by Tibetans living in exile in North India. They have an incredibly bright and alive tone and are perfect for meditation and space clearing. There are three styles; plain £30, with dragon pattern £30 and with dragon embossed £35 (slightly heavier).
